Maximilian’s Low to High

Well what had been planned as a several cache day before I had to go to work at 13:00 turned into a disaster. I started off bushwhacking, and finished off bushwhacking. Took me around 3.5 hours to complete what should have been a 1.5 hour cache. First of the coordinates lead me to what seems to be a forest. After following a path that eventually started leading away from what I wanted I decided to laboriously bushwhack, with my trusty metal pole I lifted from a discarded clothes hanger thingie.

I found the micro no problemo:

It was a clear thing, sturdy, with the coordinates on paper inside. Stapled on toughly. Pretty cool I thought. Anyways I just started using my GPS map capabilites at this moment, and realized there had been a road leading right to this point from my start point. It took me all of 15 minutes to walk back to my car, when it had taken me over and hour to get there. Doh.

Coord’s led me through kindsbach, and up a hill. Then I was 300… 200…. ft from the cache…. which apparently was on top of the cliff in front of me. #$%#$%! I follow a road up a whiles, then I just can’t help myself and start bushwhacking around .2 miles from the cache. On my way I spot a tree house, how quaint:

After much cursing and moaning, I get to the top, and spot the cache after a quick wee a ways away:

I look at the time and figure I can just go take a long lunch, or try to find a cache and eat fast. I opted for the long lunch. Mmm.
